Hiking Mount Falcon just outside of Morrison Colorado after a spring snow storm is one of our favorite activities. Teig loves to play in the deep wet snow. On this morning he is playing on one of the highest rock formations that overlook the Denver Metro Valley. It is fun for him and gorgeous views for me.

One of the most iconic places in America. Teig is standing on John Ford’s Point in Monument Valley. Some of the best westerns of all time had landscape shots from this very point. John Ford was one of my favorite directors and they named this location after him.
Teig resting in an alpine meadow on a saunter along the ridges above Cottonwood Pass in central Colorado. We like to take periodic breaks from hiking and just absorb the beauty of the high Rocky Mountains. It helps us keep centered and sane in our hectic crazy lives.
First thing Teig does when we get to the end of the hike to Ptarmigan Lake in the Sawatch Range of Colorado is get knee deep in the chilly lake and search for trout. I fly-fish periodically and he knows that if he searches for rising fish might mean a trout dinner at the end of the day. Unfortunately on this day, fishing was not on the agenda… but he does not care and will scout for those trout anyway.
