A pair of UllrGrass Volunteers were warming up at one of the fire towers near the entry gate. There were several of these fire towers around the festival to warm the festivarians up on this chilly January evening. Volunteers help with the festival and get to enjoy the music and fun when they are off shift.
Campfire on Tiger Key
We kayaked to Tiger Key in Everglades National Park and spent 2 wonderful evenings on the beach looking up at the stars. Late at night the guys headed off to sleep and I stayed up a watched the campfire die down to embers. The stars blanketed me overhead and the quiet settled on Ten Thousand Islands and soon I would be in my tent sound asleep.
Filling a Hot Air Balloon at the Night Glow
Filling the hot air into balloons for the “Night Glow” activities is quite the sight. The flames shoot up 10 feet into the air in the balloon from the flame-thrower.
