A self portrait in the dead of winter at Bear Creek Lake Park.
Redrocks Road in a Snowstorm
Redrocks Park and Amphitheater during a good snowstorm that hit the Front Range. The red rocks look cool contrasting with the snow.
Sunday Snowstorm at Home in Denver
A cold snowstorm hit Denver and Teig and I went out in it to relinquish our cabin fever. Shoveled some snow then headed to the local elementary school field to play some frisbee.
Bird on Feeder
We were relaxing at RedRocks Trading post in Morrison Colorado watching the few bird feeders in the back during a snowstorm and this little guy flew up and started feeding. He seemed quite fearless and hungry and was picking through the seeds in the feeder finding the tasty morsels.
Winter Storm Engulfing Redrocks
A winter storm came into the Front Range and blanketed snow on beautiful rock formations at Redrocks outside of Denver Colorado. Sauntering the trails was a pleasure with no tourists because of these chilly conditions. As a photographer, these conditions are great and require a trip around the trails in the park.
Heavy Snow at Redrocks
Redrocks Park is a phenomenal hiking location when a winter storm hits the Front Range mountains of Colorado. The Redrocks and snow create a red and white wonderland that you will not find in most other parts of the world. Redrocks is truly a beautiful place especially in winter.
Traildog in the Snowy Grass
Teig really enjoys the snow storms in the Front Range foothills of Colorado. I can’t help taking portraits of him in the snow. As a photographer, I can’t help creating images of subjects I love.
Songbirds during Snow Storm
Small birds finding a little refuge from the snow at Redrocks in Morrison Colorado.
Calm in the Snow Storm
Out on the trail on Green Mountain during an early snow storm. We love having trails near Denver we can explore when weather comes in. Teig love being out in the storms and loves frolicking in the snow.
Black-capped Chickadee and Snowflakes
This Chickadee was braving the snowflakes during a snowstorm at RedRocks Park outside of Morrison Colorado. FYI: The song of the Black-capped Chickadee is one of the most complex vocalizations of all animals, acting as a contact call, an alarm call, to identify an individual, or to indicate recognition of a particular flock
Winter at Beautiful Redrocks
Sauntering through RedRocks in Morrison, Colorado. If you get a chance, hit the area when there is snowstorm happening. Crowds will not be found and the serene red formations with snow makes for a wonderland for hiking. Teig absolutely loves winter in Colorado’s Front Range.
Proud in the Winterscape
Teig is looking stately in the heavy snow on Mount Falcon outside of Morrison Colorado. This photo reminds me what a fantastic Traildog Teig is and how much experience he has in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. He has logged more miles than many hikers and has summited 24 Fourteeners in this beautiful state.
Out in the Snow Storm
Teig covered in snow on Mount Falcon outside of Morrison Colorado during a large snow storm. We love these days in the mountains of Colorado.
